This year, Kinotavr was called more promising in terms of projects than other film festivals by many critics. The main prize went to the film "Good Boy" by director Oksana Karas. The film "The Student", which premiered in the Russian pavilion of the Cannes Film Festival, was also noted: Kirill Serebrennikov received the prize "For Best Director".

The film "Collector" starring Konstantin Khabensky was highly rated. He received the prize for "Best Male Role", and the film's cameraman, Denis Firstov, was awarded the prize for "Best Camerawork".
