As we mentioned earlier, Google Analytics 4 features a different way of collecting, filtering, storing, and reporting data compared to the standard actions in previous versions of the tool. In GA4, the focus is on the user, and each of their actions in a mobile app or on a website (e.g. clicking a link) is identified as an event .

Sessions and views, the metrics known from telegram user database Universal Analytics, have lost their importance. The new version also does not include information on bounce rate. Measuring data is therefore now easier – especially due to the need to analyze user behavior on different platforms.

To sum up – until now, tracking a user’s journey on a website or in a mobile app was tied to URLs . Now, it’s tied to events. This works in such a way that if a recipient signs up for a newsletter and you set this event as a goal, you can see what such a user does on your website before they convert. This way, you can tailor your service to the needs of potential customers.
