How much stress do Mexicans suffer from?

The lack of financial resources, the fear that their business will close and the violence in the country are the main reasons that affect their mental health.
As the coronavirus continues its march around the world, social distancing, the closure of shops, hotels, restaurants and public spaces, is currently the only known approach to effectively address this disease.

And as the disease spreads, social distancing measures will have to be applied more widely and for longer to achieve the same effect, stifling economic activity in the process.

In this sense, the COVID-19 economic crisis is affecting the entire social fabric and in particular the owners of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, which are the backbone of the list of cayman islands whatsapp phone numbers world's economies.

In Mexico alone, they provide 78 percent of employment and are responsible for 52 percent of the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

Today, this economic engine is in a moment of great vulnerability and uncertainty due to social isolation, since the vast majority live off of sales made day by day.

Faced with this global pandemic, at UENI we conducted a survey through our platform to assess the level of stress and mental health that Mexican entrepreneurs and micro-business owners are going through.

We conducted the study in two parts. The first part is presented in this post and focuses on stress and how the country's reality affects Mexican entrepreneurs.

The second part will be presented once the data from the ongoing survey have been collected and analyzed, where we will explore in more detail the impact of the measures adopted by the Mexican government in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
