The Itten circle consists of primary, secondary and tertiary colors, which are described below:
Primary colors are blue, yellow, and red. Since they are considered basic, it is logical that they are located in the center of the circle. When mixed, they produce any colors and shades that human vision can distinguish.
Secondary colors are green, orange, and violet. They are formed by mixing primary colors. For example, if you mix red and yellow, you get orange, and a mixture of blue and red results in violet.
Tertiary colors are the result of mixing primary and secondary colors. For example, yellow-green is obtained by mixing the same shades, yellow-orange according to the same scheme.
As a result, the color palette of Itten's circle includes twelve colors, of which three are primary, three are secondary, and six are tertiary.
