The US government has imposed a tech crackdown on China with a wide range of sanctions, including placing Chinese companies on a trade blacklist and reducing the flow of US capital into Chinese tech companies by imposing tougher restrictions on US-registered Chinese companies.
"China's achievements in advanced technology are generally in line with China's economic development level. After we mastered the production capabilities of many of the world's leading applications, we began to study the underlying technologies," independent tech analyst Xiang Ligang said in an interview Sunday, adding that the U.S. move would not hinder China's development.
Hu noted that China's huge market provides many profit opportunities for domestic companies, which then encourages companies to further invest in technological upgrading.
