How does Google Ads work?

Post by himuhumaira »

Advertisers create ads based entirely on keywords
This is your keyword bid. Unlike a regular auction, where individuals bid on products, Google Ads auction advertisers bid on keywords. For example, a pet adoption business might create an ad targeting a series of keyword phrases like pet search, pet adoption, pet rescue, animal shelter, etc. They will then tell Google their highest bid amount—the most they are willing to pay for a click on that ad.

These ads and their associated keyword phrases make up the austria number data advertiser pool for Google Ads auctions.

Someone searches on Google
This is called a query! Note that for the sake of this article, queries and keyword phrases are actually the same thing. Also, the distinction is that keyword phrases are the phrases advertisers search for, while queries are the relevant phrases users type in. Sometimes the question is a specific match to the keyword, while other times it is relevant. This brings us to the next step.

Google appears for matches
This is called keyword matching. Google will scan the advertiser pool we mentioned above to see if advertisers are bidding on keyword phrases. That it (Google) deems applicable to that query.
Step 1: Quality Level
First, Google assigns each ad a Quality Score from 1 to 10 based entirely on three things:

Relevance : How applicable your ad is to the query intent.

Expected Click-Through Rate: How, overall, your ad is expected to be clicked if displayed, based entirely on your overall previous performance compared to your competitors.
