More security guarantees for everyone
Both in their production and distribution, renewable energies are safer for health and the environment than other alternatives . Compared to other types of energy, such as nuclear, renewables must not be dismantled or guarded.
For our part, we continue to constantly get involved in projects that lead the country's companies and institutions to get on the train of sustainability and clean energy that takes us into the future . We have recently presented a project in which Naturgy will provide autonomous bodies and dependent centres in the provinces of Albacete and Guadalajara with 100% renewable energy supplied with redemption of guarantees of origin (GDO).
This programme will be implemented during 2021 and 2022 with a possible extension for two additional years. During the years of the contract, we will supply an annual volume of 18 GWh. This contract is in addition to the November 2019 contracts already agreed with the Junta de Castilla-La Mancha to provide, for the rest of the provinces of this Autonomous Community (Toledo, Ciudad Real and Cuenca) a total volume of 41 GWh per year of 100% renewable origin, also for two years (2020-2021).
This contract with the Junta de Castilla joins other tenders that we have obtained at Naturgy, in the last year, among which the contracts with Correos, Telefónica, the Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre, the metros of Barcelona, Bilbao and Málaga, the Hospital de Pandemias, among others, stand out.
